1/4 yard of fashion fabric              1 inch key hook

1/4 yard of lining fabric                 6 inch zipper

Small amounts iron on fleece         3x2 inch strip of fashion fabric

                              Small tube truner

 

Cut 2 pieces of fashion fabric 5x6 inch and a 3x2 inch strip for loop

Cut 2 pieces of lining fabric 5x6 inch

Cut 2 pieces iron on fleece 5x6 inch

 

Iron fleece to back of fashion fabric.  With wrong side of lining, to wrong side of fashion fabric, sew zipper to right side of fashion fabric.  Sewing through both  fashion, and lining fabric.  Now fold fashion fabric close to zipper, being careful not to catch lining fabric, and sew 1/8 inch from edge.  Trim close to zipper.  Lay zipper out flat and sew 1/4 inch from stitching line, stitching down zipper tape.  Do the sane to the other side of zipper, being careful to match up fabric on both sides of zipper.  Open zipper.  Trim the bottom of lining to match fashion fabric.

 

Fold 3 inch strip of fashion fabric in half lengthwise, right sides together.  Stitch a 1/4 inch seam,  Use tube turner to turn right side out.  Fold in half, slip on key hook.  Place folded strip to right side of fashion fabric close to zipper, pin in place.  With wrong sides together, sew up one side of lining fabric, hand walking over zipper, and down side of the fashion fabric.  Sew across bottom of fashion fabric, (here you may want to add some trim).  Continue to sew up the other side of fashion fabric, hand walking over zipper, to end of lining fabric,  Leaving bottom of lining open for turning,  Turn right side out, leave lining out.  Fold bottom ends of lining in 1/4 inch, stitch across bottom.  Push lining inside bag, and zip shut.

2 - 14 by 14 square of fleece they can be the same or different colors.

28 – 5 inch ribbon all different widths, colors, & textures

Fold ribbons in half and place 7 ribbons on each side. Space evenly on top of one square with ends of ribbon to the ends of square. Stitch down with a ¼” seam. Place the other piece of fleece on top and stitch around with a ½”seam allowance leaving a 4” opening to turn right side out. Fold the edges in and top stitch around at ¼”.

For the triangle comfort blankie. Cut 2 – 8” triangles of different fleece.

Cut 9 – 3” ribbons of different widths, colors, & textures. Lay the ribbons the same way using 3 on each side of the triangle. Stitch ¼”. Place the other triangle on top of the ribbons and stitch 3/8” leaving a 3” opening for turning. Turn edges of opening and top stitch 1/8”around. Make a buttonhole in the corner of one of the points for the baby link to be inserted. This can now be linked with more links and connected to shopping carts, car seats, & carriages.

 

Bow Ties with Dimension

Cut 3 – 3” squares in tie fabric Cut 2 – 3” squares of background fabric

Fold one tie fabric in half this is the knot. Do not press. Place on top of tie Fabric Square right side up and all cut edges across the top. Now place a background square with right side down on top. Sew ¼” seam down right side of squares.

Open up pushing all fabric to the left of the knot. Place the knot across the top of background fabric which is right side facing up. Place tie fabric with wrong side down on top and sew ¼” seam down right side. Push this to the right of the knot. You should have one side with tie fabric and the other with background fabric on each side of knot.

Open up the squares that are sewed together and finger press seams open.

Open the knot by pulling the knot lengthwise and sandwich it between the two squares right sides together. Pin matching seams together. Sew across the top catching the knot and matching the seams with a ¼” seam.

Now clip the seam on both sides of the center seam. Open up block and now press all seams open. Turn to top and press.
